Terms of Use
The rules for using Routinewheel, in plain words. Last updated 14 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Routinewheel, a business name registered in Ontario, Canada ("Routinewheel", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the Routinewheel app, or using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What you may do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Routinewheel on Windows PCs you own or control, for your own personal use or for your own work, including inside your employer's business.
The free early-access download is free while it is in early access. Routinewheel Pro, when bought from the Microsoft Store, is a one-time purchase tied to your Microsoft account. Routinewheel for Teams is licensed to companies under a separate written agreement or order; if that agreement differs from these terms, the agreement wins.
You may make backup copies of your own macros and settings, and share macros you made with others.
2. What you may not do
- Sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app itself, or present it as your own.
- Remove or change Routinewheel's name, notices or these terms in copies you have.
- Get around how Routinewheel Pro is unlocked, or share unlock methods.
- Use Routinewheel to break the law or someone else's rights, to send spam, to commit fraud, or to get into computers, accounts or data you aren't allowed to use.
- Use it in a way that breaks the rules of the programs, websites or games you automate. Some online games and services don't allow automation; it's up to you to check and follow their rules.
Nothing here stops you doing anything the law allows you to do regardless of a licence.
3. You're in charge of your macros
Routinewheel does exactly what your macros tell it to: it clicks, types, opens programs and files, and can change, move or delete files and send email from your own email program. A macro can go wrong if a window moves, a program changes, or a step is set up wrongly.
- Check what a macro does before you rely on it, and try it on copies or test data first.
- Watch new macros the first few times they run. Pressing Esc stops a running macro.
- Only install macros shared by people you trust, and read their steps first.
- Keep your own backups of important files.
- Don't use Routinewheel for anything where a mistake could hurt someone or cause serious harm, such as medical, safety, emergency or vehicle systems.
Routinewheel is designed never to type passwords for you. You're responsible for keeping your own accounts and passwords safe.
4. Your information
Your macros, settings, recordings and voice stay on your PC. Our Privacy page explains exactly what is and isn't collected: routinewheel.com/privacy.
5. Early access and updates
Early-access versions are still being finished. Features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be bugs. We may release updates, and some features may need an up-to-date version to keep working.
The early-access download isn't digitally signed yet, so Windows or your browser may ask you to confirm before it runs. The Microsoft Store version is signed by Microsoft.
6. Microsoft Store purchases
Purchases made through the Microsoft Store, including Routinewheel Pro, are also covered by Microsoft's own terms. Payments and refunds are handled by Microsoft under its refund policy.
7. Other people's software
Routinewheel uses some software made by others, such as Python (from python.org) and, if you choose to download it, an offline voice pack. Those parts are covered by their own licences. Routinewheel works with programs like Microsoft Excel and Outlook but isn't made by, or connected with, Microsoft or the makers of the programs you automate.
8. No warranty
Routinewheel is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, work without interruption, work with every program or PC, or suit a particular purpose, and we give no other warranties or conditions, whether stated or implied.
9. Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Routinewheel won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, files, profits, business or time, arising from your use of the app or your macros, even if we were told it could happen.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Routinewheel is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Routinewheel in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $20.
10. Your rights under the law
Some places, including Ontario, give consumers rights that can't be taken away by an agreement. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
11. Suggestions
If you send us suggestions or ideas, you're welcome to, and we may use them to improve Routinewheel without owing you anything. Thank you.
12. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling Routinewheel (Settings > Apps > Routinewheel > Uninstall). If you seriously break these terms, your licence ends. Sections 3 and 7 to 13 keep applying after it ends.
13. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update them; the date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is important, we'll say so on this website or in the app. Using Routinewheel after a change means you accept the updated terms.
