Routinewheel

Help

Short answers to the usual questions. Can't find yours? Write to us at the bottom of the page.

What does Routinewheel do?

It does repeat jobs on your Windows PC for you. A job is a list of steps, like open Excel, fit the columns, save. You build it once, by recording yourself or picking steps, then start it with the wheel, a key, your voice or a schedule.

Which programs does it work with?

Most Windows programs. It clicks and types the way you do, so if you can do it with a mouse and keyboard, a job usually can too. Excel and Outlook have extra steps of their own, like copying a column or saving attachments.

Programs started with “Run as administrator” ignore clicks from other programs, so jobs can't control those.

Do I need administrator rights to install it?

No. It installs for you only and runs without any special rights.

How do I stop a job that's running?

Press Esc. Any running job stops at once.

Does voice need the internet?

No. Your speech is understood on your PC, by Windows itself or by an optional voice pack you download once.

Is anything sent online?

No. Your jobs, settings, recordings and voice stay on your computer. See the privacy page for details.

Can a job type my passwords?

No, on purpose. A job can stop and wait while you type a password yourself.

Can I share a job with someone?

Yes. Share sends a small file by email. When they install it, Routinewheel asks about their screens so the clicks land in the right place.

Is there a Mac version?

No, Routinewheel is for Windows only.
