If Windows or your browser stops you
Because the early-access download isn't signed yet, you may see one of these. Here's what each means and what to do.
One click
“Isn't commonly downloaded”
Edge or Chrome may say this about Routinewheel.zip, because not many people have downloaded it yet.
What to do: in your downloads, click ⋯ next to the file, then Keep. In Chrome, choose Keep or Download anyway.
Two clicks
“Windows protected your PC”
A blue box from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen when you double-click Setup. It only shows Don't run at first, so it looks blocked, but it isn't.
What to do: click More info, then Run anyway. Windows remembers, so it won't ask again for this file.
Blocked
Smart App Control
A Windows 11 setting that's on for some people with a freshly installed Windows. It blocks apps that aren't signed, with no Run anyway button. Most PCs have it off.
What to do: wait for the Microsoft Store version, which is signed and installs normally. We don't suggest turning Smart App Control off just for this.
Blocked
Work PCs
Your company's IT may remove Run anyway or block downloaded scripts altogether. That's their call to make.
What to do: ask your IT team, or point them to Routinewheel for Teams, which is made for installing across a company.

It's early access, so your ideas and bug reports really count. Tell us what you'd add, what got in your way, or what broke. Every message is read.
